English Budgies, also known as Show Budgerigars or Exhibition Budgerigars, are a selectively bred variation of the common Budgerigar (Melopsittacus undulatus). They are distinguished by several notable characteristics:

Size: English Budgies are larger and heavier than the standard Budgerigar. They typically measure around 8 to 9 inches (20 to 23 centimeters) in length, whereas regular Budgies are smaller.

Plumage: English Budgies often have fuller, more extensive feathering, particularly in the head, neck, and face. This results in a rounder and puffier appearance, giving them a more robust and almost "fluffy" look compared to their wild-type counterparts.

Coloration: They come in a wide range of colors and patterns, just like standard Budgerigars. However, their selectively bred traits may emphasize specific color variations and patterns.

Personality: English Budgies generally have temperaments similar to standard Budgies. They are social, playful, and can form strong bonds with their human caregivers. However, their larger size and sometimes more extravagant plumage can make them slightly less agile and prone to flying as vigorously as standard Budgies.

Vocalizations: Like regular Budgies, English Budgies are known for their cheerful and chatty vocalizations, including chirps, whistles, and the potential to mimic sounds or words to some extent.

English Budgies are popular among bird enthusiasts who appreciate their unique appearance and enjoy their playful and sociable nature. They require a balanced diet, proper care, and a spacious cage with opportunities for exercise and mental stimulation, much like regular Budgerigars.
